Guided Tours in Tuscany, Italy
TuscanDream offers fantastic custom historical and museum guided tours in tuscany to the magnificent Renaissance Cities of Florence and Siena, as well as to San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa and Cortona.
Here some taste of our tours:
Florence – our bilingual licensed guides and historians will take you to the Academia, where Michelangelo’s major sculptures, including ‘The David’ are on display – the Uffizi Gallery, the magnificent home of paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, Rembrandt, and Giotto amongst others. You will then be guided through the breathtaking and seldom seen Vasarian Corridor which connects the Uffizi through a secret passage across the Ponte Vecchio to the Pitti Palace. Built as an escape route for Cosimo de Medici, the father of the Renaissance, to get from his home the Pitti Palace, to his office in the Uffizi, this passage is lined with spectacular self-portraits by some of the most famous painters of all time.
Or perhaps you might want to take a fabulous walking tour of the Renaissance City where one of our historical guides can provide you with the history of the Duomo, Giotto’s tower, the Baptistery, the Medici Chapel at San Lorenzo and the Palazzo della Signoria.
For those who want to practice a little ‘retail therapy’ we can take you on an exciting shopping tour of Florence and to the nearby Factory Outlets where you will find treasures from Prada, Gucci, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Fendi and 70 more major designers at a fraction of their retail prices.
Siena – our licensed bilingual guides will take you to the breathtaking Piazza del Campo site of the famous Palio horse race, the Duomo and many other historical sites – and then will take you to the medieval city, San Gimignano, a Unesco World Heritage Site, the town of 1000 steeples.
Similar tours can be arranged for Lucca, Pisa and Cortona.
