Lucca: "The Little Paris".
In the past a lot of people have fallen in love with Lucca. A place and region of Tuscany that has been home to the likes
of Puccini and Pinocchio (a wonderful children theme park celebrating Pinocchio is located in Collodi, a town named after
the Tuscan author on the Lucca-Pistoia province border).
Late October is an excellent time of the year to visit this town, when "Lucca Comics", the International Festival of
comics, is held.
We have selected some particular places we recommend visiting during your trip to Lucca.
#1. Piazza San Michele. In this square there is the Palazzo Ducale and the beautiful church of San Michele in Foro.
#2. Visit the house of the famous musician Puccini (1858-1924, who wrote "La Bohème"," Madam Butterfly") which has been
transformed in a museum.
