#2: Museum of Medieval and Modern Art. It is housed in the graceful 15th century Palazzo Bruni. The varied c
ollection includes one of the best displays of majolica pottery in Italy.
#3: Museo del Duomo (Museum of the Cathedral). Among the artifacts removed from the cathedral are three wooden
crucifixes, dating from the 12th and 13th centuries.
#4: Duomo: Begun in 1278, the Duomo remained incomplete until 1510; it façade dates to 1914. A huge building,
its gothic interior is lit through windows containing beautiful 16th century stained glass by Guillaume de Marcillat,
a French artist who settled in Arezzo.
#5: San Francesco's church: the 13th century church contains Piero della Francesca frescos, The legend of the
true Cross, his masterpiece and one of Italy's greatest fresco cycles.
