Villa il Prato is a phenomenal air conditioned 11 bedroom Chianti Countryside villa located just outside the picturesque town of Greve, about 40 minutes from the city of Florence. This fantastic staffed mansion traces its origins back one thousand years when a tower was erected on the site, and probably was first used as an independent splendid villa in the early 18th century. Immersed in the forest, the estate is surrounded by fields, vineyards and olive trees and offers an outstanding view of Panzano. The estate has been restored with all the modern conveniences while faithfully and lovingly preserving the original characteristics of Tuscan architecture and traditions.
Nestled on the Chianti hills between forests and streams, Il Prato is part of an organic farm, with an historic wine cellar in operation since 1404. The estate features also other 2 sister villas to rent in Chianti, sleeping respectively 22 and 18 people, able to accommodate large groups up to 62 people.
The heart of the estate is its renaissance villa, built in 1300 by the Gherardini family, and surrounded by gardens that fill the spaces between rows of cypress trees, vineyards and olive groves.
The estate consists of four main structures – the main villa, the studio, the annex and the fienile. There is an additional house, a small cottage with exercise equipment.
Ground Floor: Entering the villa into a spacious living room featuring a lovely fireplace and comfortable but elegant furniture. This communicates with an informal television room, dominated by a large plasma television. There is a large dining room seating twenty two which connects to a well designed professional cook’s kitchen. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one with a king and the other with a queen, bed each with an en suite marble bathroom and air conditioning.

First Floor: here are four bedrooms, each of these well apportioned bedrooms have en suite bathrooms.
Studio: A few steps from the villa is the cottage with bedroom and bathroom ensuite.
Annex: two bedrooms ensuite with living room and kitchen.
Fienile: two bedrooms ensuite with living room and kitchen.
The swimming pool is located in the back of the property and has a salt water filtration system so no chemicals are used. The dimensions of the pool are 6 by 15 meters and it has a depth of 163 centimeters or 5 1/2 feet) . The poolside features a pergola, sun umbrella and quality pool furniture.
