The history of the Thermal Springs begins during the 8th Century BC, when Greek settlers first started using the hot waters gushing from the slopes of Mount Epomeo. It was the Romans who first realised the potential of the springs and, placing the waters of Lacco Ameno under the protection of the mythical hero Hercules, turned them into a health and recreation resort, which became one of the most popular in the Roman Empire. Today the Regina Isabella offers facials with thermal muds, ozonetherapy and hydromassage as well as 50 other types of spa treatments. Under the direction of Dr. Paolo Magrassi, the hotel spa creates individualized wellness and integrated medical programs for each guest. The hotel's open air restaurant serves phenomenal Meditteranean cuisine from a terrace overlooking the beautiful bay of Naples below.
