Hôtel Le Saint Paul
Set in the heart of the famous medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, this XVIth century bourgeois home has been converted into a brilliant four and one half star hotel only fifteen minutes from Nice and the Côte d’Azur. The hotel is rich in history,it was originally built in 1511, and has served as a hospital, church, and a secret gathering place for various underground groups. It was converted into a hotel in 1989 and has been a member of the Relais & Chateaux family since 1992. Guests can relax and enjoy a drink in the lounge by the fireplace, and the hotel also has a library and houses a collection of 19th century Barbotine porcelain. The real charm of the hotel is its warm friendly multilingual staff and its one star Michelin Guide rated restaurant.
Each of the 15 rooms and 4 suites of Le Saint Paul has its own distinctive character. The rooms were designed by the late famous Parisian interior designer Jean Dives. All the bedrooms and suites are decorated in the most pure of Provençal style with Souleïado, Pierre Frey, Manuel Canovas and Rubelli’s fabrics and premium bedding. Each room enjoys a view of either the village or the valley, and some can see out as far as the Mediterranean Sea.
Vaulted ceiling with frescoes and a flower-bedecked terrace create a romantic setting for the Le Saint Paul, the hotel's Michelin one star rated restaurant. Its flowered terrace is ideal for enjoying the finest contemporary seasonal cuisine. Guests should make reservations in advance for dinner.
