Castiglione della Pescaia - Formiche Islands - Giglio Islands (possible to do in one day). Navigation time 2 hours
and 20 minutes each way.
One day trip: after leaving Castiglione della Pescaia we start to navigate towards Formiche Island for the first
dive. After that, we keep cruising toward Giglio Island where we can stop for the second
dive. In a one day trip we usually stop on the east side of the island for Gabbianola o Scole dive. This location
will enable people on board, that don't want to dive, to go and visit the little village and port by tender. When ready,
after middle afternoon snack at the bar's port, we head back. Price: $1500.
Two day trip. On the
two days trip we usually stop first on the eastern side, for the first dive, then leave to circumnavigate the island; with
dives on the western side for the second day. During the summer season it is very difficult to find space in port, so we
then option for a protected bay, compatible with the weather condition, using the tender to go on land. September/October
is easier to find space in the port, but there is more chance of bad weather conditions. During the two day trip there is
time to have a closer look to the western side and have multiple dives; then head back to Castiglione in the afternoon of
the second day. Price: $2900.
Three day trip. Price: $4250. In this itinerary of the three day trip, we
generally take our time to go to visit the island, in particular the castle and the bay on the western side; multiple
dives, and then circumnavigate the island on the third day before heading back.
