We will leave the Equestrian Center "Manciati" heading toward the WWF bird watching natural reserve
(an extraordinary collection of coastal environments that include a sea water lagoon and coastal dune).
From here we will start riding on the beach toward Monte Argentario on the Giannella tombolo. We will climb
the Monte to the Convent of the Passionist monks, incredible view point on the lagoon. We will visit the
convent where it is possible to buy herbal products made by the monks. We will come back down towards Porto
Ercole (the Spanish transformed it from a fishing village into an important stronghold) to Cala Galera, where
we will stop to admire the landscape, Monte Filippo and Stella forts (built by the Spanish to fortify the city),
and the ancient port village. We will ride on the beach of the Feniglia tombolo, the southern tombolo of Monte
Argentario, for about 8 km to Ansedonia. We will visit the Etruscan-Roman village of Cosa and the museum. Barbecue
on the Feniglia tombolo with typical maremman food and wines will be served.
